Can I Bring My Dog?

We do not allow pets in the Mullions.

What about small children?

Small children are also very welcome, but please note that there is no bath in Jack’s Cottage. Both Jack’s and Bridgefoot cottages have stone staircases but both have hand rails and can be closed off top and bottom. A cot is available on request: available at Bridgefoot only.

You bring your toddlers at your own risk knowing that the Garden at Bridgefoot
Cottage runs down to the River Derwent.

When can I arrive ?

It is very helpful to know your approximate arrival time which can be normally any time after 3pm.

When do I need to leave ?

You should arrange to vacate the cottage by 11am On your departure day.

Are there any good pubs nearby?

The nearest to Jacks and the Mullions is the Bridge Inn..

The Chequers Inn is the local for Bridgefoot.

Where Are The Local Shops?

The closest shops to Bridgefoot Cottage are at Grindleford Village which is a five minute drive away. There a Butchers, Post Office Grocers and General Store and of course a Pub.

For Jacks and the Mullions the closest shop, the Spar grocers at Whites Garage Calver, is one mile away.

How to find your way to your Peak holiday Cottage

Directions From M1 Junction 29:

Come off the M1 at Junction 29. Follow the road to Chesterfield. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit sign posted Baslow (A619). Follow this road through Baslow (where it becomes the A623) and continue towards Curbar and Chapel-en-le-Frith.

From the A623 between Calver and Baslow take the turning right to Curbar.

The landmark is the Derbyshire Craft Centre. The road dog-legs to the right over the Bridge .

On your right you see the Bridge Inn.Turn left straight up the hill opposite the pub. All Saints Church is on your right. Follow this road up the hill for less than ¼ mile.

You will reach a small village Cross Roads. Red telephone box on your right. Turn left into The Hillock. Proceed slowly along the Hillock. There is a cul de sac on the right hand side. The next turning right is our drive clearly marked Green Farm. Jacks Cottage and the Mullions are just a short distance away, Bridegfoot is one mile away in the neighbouring village of Froggatt.

You will normally be met at Green Farm and taken to your cottage.

The Mullions, a charming 18th century listed grit stone detached cottage. Once the old village shop in Curbar, the Peak District.
