Tales Of the River Bank at Bridgefoot Cottage

On the banks of the River Derwent, with the dramatic back drop of Froggatt Edge behind it, Bridgefoot Cottage is an historic Grade 11 listed Derbyshire farmhouse of great character and beauty.

With its flag floors , low ceilinged oak beamed rooms all overlooking the river, and its firplaces sculpted by the centuries, it is the perfect place to repose. And learn like Ratty that there is nothing quite so good as messing about by the side of the River

Walk in to the Big Kitchen , furnished traditionally and with an Aga. This room has flag floors and oak beams. There is a scullery kitchen off the Big Kitchen fully equipped with hand made units with granite work tops and additional conventional cooker, fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave.

There is a large Sitting Room or Parlour again with flag floors and oak beams and a huge Gritstone fireplace of great character where you can have an open fire in the multi fuel stove. Perfect for relaxing , Equipped with radio, cd player, tv video books and games.

There is Downstairs Bathroom with deep Victorian style bath and a separate laundry equipped with washer/ dryer.

Up stairs there are 2 large delightful double bedrooms one with a very large ensuite shower room. There is a four-poster in one, and the other has two single beds. Both have superb views over the River.

Sleeps 2-4, Ideal for families or separate couples/friends.

A separate nursery with cot is available.
